  • Karakura Town
    A town in Western Tokyo, also known as the Tama Region. It is heavily targeted by hollow due to the presence of many high level reiatsu in the city. It's an average size town with a population of about 20,000.

  • Rukongai
    Rukongai is a giant area divided into 80 districts within which those that died in Japan find themselves. The whole of Rukongai, counting Seireitei at its center which is about half the size of Rukongai, is large enough to be thought off as a small country. Life in Rukongai is somewhat similar to that of feudal Japan; each district describes its conditions, with the lower numbered districts being more peaceful and becoming progressively harsh as the number increases.

  • Seireitei
    An immense walled city that sits in the center, and is half the size, of Rukongai. Here dwell the Shinigami and noble families. Seireitei is divided into 12 areas itself, with one at it's center, and each area being controlled by one of the 13 protection squads. Between these division controlled areas are many 'general' areas which don't fall under any particular divisions jurisdiction and within which various services are provided, such as stores, food, housing, and bathing, outside the the provisions of the division military barracks.

    On the surface of Hueco Mundo is a desert-like realm, covered in perpetual night. Few hollows reside on the surface, and the landscape is dominated by the imposing ruins of an gigantic, old, crumbling palace.

  • Forest of Menos
    Directly underneath the great White Desert is the Forest of Menos, where the hollows mainly reside until provoked to leave. Here one can find food and water even in the bleak existence of Hueco Mundo, if one knows where to look in the first place.
